Neighbor-Helping-Neighbor
The SERT Neighbor-Helping-Neighbor (NHN) program began as a grassroots movement. SERT’s vision is that every street will be a place where neighbors know, watch out for, and promote the safety of each other. The residents form a "buddy system" similar to the old neighbor watch program back in the 60-70s.
Village Safety Coordinators help greet new residents, get to know their neighbors and help prepare them in case of an emergency. To offer a "Free" SERT Home Safety Survey so they get to know their home better.
