Welcome to the OHCC SERT Club!
As a new or renewing member, we are extremely excited to have you on our team! We are 336 members strong!
We are only as strong as our members, and your involvement in helping yourself and your neighbors stay safe by being prepared in case of a major natural disaster or incident is our goal!
Most clubs in OHCC are social, while SERT is a “service club.” The SERT website www.ohccsert.com can be accessed by anyone where we post numerous things related to Safety and Emergency Response materials. While we all are members of the OHCC Master HOA, your personal safety, and steps you need to take to stay safe are your responsibilities. SERT can provide you with the tools to achieve that goal. As members, SERT can provide you with a FREE Home Safety Survey, which takes about an hour, but ultimately unless you take action to ensure your safety and well-being, nothing will change.
Within the SERT Club, there are several other active groups:

Emergency Response Team – Members are specially trained to assist others in an emergency.

Safety Coordinators – Residents on your street that can assist you in getting to know your neighbors (The Buddy System) and providing helpful tips on staying safe.

Family Care Givers Group – Meets the third Thursday in the Clubhouse at 7 pm where you can learn and share your thoughts about becoming or being a caregiver.

Helping Hands – Loans slightly used medical equipment for OHCC residents in need (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.).
Most of SERT's communications will be electronic. We are doing this to save on printing costs and reduce waste. Please email your questions to ohccsert@gmail.com. This email account is monitored several times a week, and we will respond to you quickly. You can also contact me directly.
We are always looking for volunteers to get involved in the club. What do you like to do? Contact us, I bet we can find something you will be great at while also making OHCC a safer place to live.
